Nova Scotia is an incredibly beautiful province. It would be hard to argue otherwise. And, I really appreciate all the support for Carter’s Beach in the Great Canadian Song Quest #GCSQ. We’re at the voting stage now so it’s really important that you surf over to CBC Radio 2 and pick your favourite Nova Scotian singer(s) and vote for Carter’s Beach. Do this once a day, ‘til further notice okay?! Tell your friends to do the same because only one spot in NS will be selected. Sure would be nice if it could be Carter’s Beach.
I mean, it’s clear that Carter’s Beach should represent Nova Scotia. It’s a pristine mix of granite, spruce, pure white sand and the most beautiful slice of salt water on the east coast. Who should immortalize Carter’s Beach in song? Old Man Luedecke, Joel Plaskett , Meaghan Smith, Jimmy Rankin, or Sloan?? I don’t know who to endorse. Who do you pick?
It’s important that you vote everyday and remind your friends to do the same. Vote for Carter’s Beach and the musical genius of your choice. And, again…thank you so much. I owe you a lobster for helping push us through to this new level! Oh, and I hope to get down the shore to take some fresh photos for the blog and Facebook page. And, listen for me on Thursday morning, Oct 15th…CBC Radio 2. I’ll be plugging Carter’s Beach. Take care.

HiYa from the shiny province of Manitoba!
I just wanted to pass on that your photos and blog of Carter’s Beach have completely captivated me for the last few weeks! I have been voting daily for your little slice of paradise (Joel Plaskett is AMAZING!), and instructing my gang to do the same! I hope you succeed and get Carter’s Beach in song! To live on the east coast of Canada – very lucky!
Great work, and good luck!

I too have been voting for your beautiful little beach, from the cold stuffiness of Ottawa! What a great blog and great effort you have been putting in. It has been fun though hasn’t it? My husband can’t believe how I’ve been caught up in all of this, but I have found it way more stimulating than the old boob tube. All these little stories and passionate pleas have been mesmerizing. Watch out though,…you may just end up with way too many visitors!
My other favourites have been Black Sheep Inn and Dildo.

By the way, my favourite singer is Meaghan Smith. We saw her here in Ottawa, opening for Ron Sexsmith. Great show, and such energy and creativity. Must be a Nova Scotian thing!
